EU-UN Environment Action on Climate Security: From theory to practice

This event presents the new joint EU-UN Environment initiative and project on climate and security. Implemented by UN Environment and adelphi, it specifically addresses the destabilizing effects of climate change in crisis-affected states. The session will draw on examples of climate-related fragility risk from Nepal and Sudan to illustrate the nature of the complex challenges which the project aims to tackle. The session format will be a facilitated Davos style discussion, bringing in experts working on climate-fragility risks on the ground.
