Mr. Ries Kamphof

Expertise: Sustainable Development Goals; climate change negotiations; (scarcity of) natural resources; EU external relations
Ries Kamphof is associate research fellow at Clingendael International Sustainability Centre (CISC) and PhD candidate at Leiden University (Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs). His research includes case-studies on the UNFCCC climate change negotiations, an EU raw material strategy, EU implementation of the SDGs and alternative fuel policies. Ries is also guest lecturer European Integration at Leiden University College. Prior working experience includes (among others) a role as policy adviser on Foreign Affairs, Security and Development Cooperation at the Dutch Senate (Eerste Kamer der Staten-Generaal).
