As Global Resilient Cities Coordinator and Program Manager with ICLEI, Guilherme leads ICLEI's adaptation and urban resilience team from the Global Secretariat in Bonn. Guilherme and his team coordinate thematic activities that include urban risk, resilient urban logistics, financing resilient cities, climate insurance, urban agriculture and food, smart infrastructure and other issues, in cooperation with other World Secretariat and worldwide teams.
Prior to joining ICLEI, Gulherme served as Senior Programme Manager for Europe and the Middle East with 100 Resilient Cities of the Rockefeller Foundation. Past appointments include with Future Cities Catapult; the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), where he managed a portfolio of ODA international cooperation projects funded by the British Government in Brazil in areas such as climate change, infrastructure and urban development; and with GIZ, where he introduced GHG Inventory tools for cities.
