About Gül Özerol
Gül is assistant professor at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. Her work revolves around the political dimensions of water, energy and land governance. She has been participating in and managing projects in Europe, North America, Middle East and North Africa, and lived in the Netherlands, Turkey, Palestine and the United States. She is the co-coordinator of the Palestinian-Dutch Academic Cooperation Programme on Water, the governance lead of a project on urban climate resilience in the North Sea Region, and the editor of Fanack Water, a media platform on water issues in the Middle East and North Africa. Moreover, Gül is an associate of the Relief Base Foundation that specializes in i.a. the humanitarian sector.
