About Tatjana Dawson
I have 14 years of experience as a lawyer for the UN. After qualifying as a lawyer in Germany and publishing my doctoral thesis in the field of public international law, I joined the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. There I held several positions, covering international criminal law, public international law, administrative law and diplomatic relations. I have full professional proficiency in English, French and German and a good knowledge of Dutch. In light of the growing tensions over natural resources and ensuing armed conflict, I have a keen interest in International Environmental Law and mechanisms for peacebuilding.
