Ria Voorhaar leads outreach and engagement for the ECF’s Strategic Communications team where she seeks to bring new voices into the climate and energy debate. After starting her career as a journalist with some of Australia’s biggest media outlets, Ria has spent the last 10 years focused on climate and energy communications. She was most recently head of communications for the world’s largest network of NGOs working on climate change, CAN, and has also worked for Greenpeace and the Global Call for Climate Action.
She is a communications specialist with a strong track record for devising and driving innovative, ethical, issues-led campaigns which achieve major media coverage.
Ria has a degree in journalism and political science from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and graduate qualifications in history.
